Capricorn Copper Pty Ltd has lodged an application for a major amendment to an Environmental Authority in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act 1994. The environmental authority being amended is EPML00911413.
The application relates to 833 ha of land at Capricorn Copper Mine located at Gunpowder in North Queensland, approximately 115 km north of Mt Isa. The resource activity is proposed to occur on the following tenure(s) and will involve construction of a new Tailings Storage Facility in the Upper Esperanza catchment and associated infrastructure required to restart Capricorn Copper Mine, namely a new water treatment plant and workshop, on Calton Hills leasehold land, Lot 5 on CP865892.
